Custom Builds & Web Applications

A Fixed-Scope Project for one clear software outcome — a customer portal, an internal tool, a booking system, an integration between systems that do not talk to each other. Built on infrastructure that stays registered in your name from day one.

From RM30,000 before SST · fixed-quoted after scoping · one defined software outcome

Why custom builds go wrong

A working demo and a released system are not the same thing.

Custom software gets judged in month eight, not on launch day — when the person who wrote it has moved on and nobody can safely change a line.

Gap 01

No written acceptance criteria

"Build me a booking system" is not a scope. Without written acceptance criteria, "done" is whatever the developer decided it meant — and that gap surfaces after payment, not before.

Gap 02

No staging environment

Every change tested directly on the system people are using. One bad migration and the system is down during business hours, with nowhere safe to have tried it first.

Gap 03

Database and keys never handed over

The most common way a custom system becomes unmaintainable: the database credentials, third-party API keys and admin panel live in a personal account nobody can reach once the developer is gone.

What you actually get

What a properly scoped custom build includes.

A shortcut and a defined build can look identical on release day. The difference shows up the first time something needs to change.

01

A written scope and acceptance test

Every workflow, screen and edge case named before work starts, with a signed-off acceptance test that decides when the project is done — not a feeling.

02

A database and schema in your name

Your data, in a database you control, with a schema documented well enough that a different developer could pick it up without archaeology.

03

Staging and a deploy pipeline

Every release tested somewhere that is not your live system, with a rollback path if something breaks.

04

Authentication, roles and admin tooling

Real user management — who can see what, who can approve what — not a single shared login everyone uses.

05

Everything in your name, in writing

Domain, hosting, database, repository, API keys, admin accounts. The ownership map at handover, not a zip file.

How it runs

Four to twelve weeks, with two decision points.

Scoping is paid and fixed-quoted afterwards, so the number does not move once we start.

Week 0

Scope and quote

Usually the ownership review, credited in full against the build. One fixed price out the other side.

Week 1–2

Data and workflow design

Schema, user roles and the workflows the system needs to support, agreed before a line of code.

Week 2–8

Build

Two revision rounds with named approvers. Everything visible on staging as it happens.

Week 8–11

Integration and QA

Payments, e-invoicing, third-party APIs. Real test transactions, real accounts, real data.

Launch

Handover and care

Ownership map, a walkthrough recording, and care live from day one.

Questions

How is this different from a website build?

A website build (Web Design) is a marketing site — pages, content, a CMS. A custom build is a working application: a database, user roles, business logic, and something users log into and do work in. Many projects need both, scoped as one Fixed-Scope Project.

Why is a care plan mandatory after launch?

Because unmaintained software accumulates unpatched dependencies and untested backups the same way an unmaintained website does — except the cost of getting it wrong is a broken workflow, not just a broken page. Priced openly from RM450/month, cancel any month.

Can you work with our existing developer or team?

Yes. If you already have a database or a partial build, we review it during scoping and say plainly whether we can extend it or whether a rebuild is the honest recommendation.

Do you guarantee the system will scale or never go down?

No, and be careful of anyone who does. We build correctly, test the failure paths we know about, and document what we did not test. Uptime and scaling depend on load we do not control.

Build it once, properly.
